When people ask me what I do, it's really hard not to blurt out "I have a lot of fun making dope content!” I hear myself saying it, but then I say something more couth. 

Since leaving my career as a local TV news reporter, I made a promise to myself: if I’m not enjoying what I do, I won’t do it. That philosophy led me all over the world exploring storytelling across various mediums and genres, and it’s been a thrilling ride.

I’ve worked with  MTV,VH1, BET, and Revolt, producing and directing short-form lifestyle and music content. I’ve developed and directed branded content series for Chevy, Coca-Cola, and New Amsterdam Vodka. I’ve showrun series for iONE Digital and Centric focusing on Black culture. At TBWA\Chiat\Day, I co-founded and ran Backslash, the agency’s cultural insight studio, where we created trend-driven video and I served as in-house creative and video director. At Maximum Effort, I embraced a full creative role, and got to write some really fun commercials spots.

In addition to all that, I write and perform comedy. I’ve been part of writer’s rooms for a Fox show that humorously covered top news stories and an unscripted show with Kevin Hart and Roy Wood Jr. Plus, I’m currently shopping a comedy pilot I created and directed. 

I haven't fully given up on the news so you can find me on TikTok breaking down current events for the culture.
